Oxford United are completely overwhelmed by the love and respect that has been shown towards club legend Joey Beauchamp
We thank fans who sang his name throughout the win at Crewe last night and who are planning displays and tributes for Saturday
We have now had over 500 entries in an online Book of Condolences for Joey’s family.
Working alongside our friends at the Oxford Mail and BBC Sport, we will collate all of the responses into a book which we will present to Joey’s daughters as a way of showing just how much he was part of the club’s history.
It's not too late. Please take a minute to CLICK HERE to open the form and leave a message, and maybe a picture which we can include in the book.
It could be your memories of Joey as a player, a story about meeting him, it could be a tribute or just a simple message of condolence.
A minute's applause will be held before Saturday's home game against Cambridge United and we would like to thank Cambridge for allowing us to donate £1 to MIND for every ticket sold not just in the home areas but in the away area as well.
It will be an emotional day but we want to fill the ground and honour one of our own: the entire Academy will be there to pay tribute to perhaps Oxford's best ever player.
Be part of it.
