We are delighted to have Eynsham FC's Under 13s as our Guard of Honour tomorrow when we welcome Bolton Wanderers to the Kassam Stadium.
Eynsham Association Football Club has an enviable reputation in the local area for the provision of an excellent standard of football, with good facilities and is played with a high code of conduct. They have a competitive youth squad at most age groups and men’s teams to aspire to. The club is well run by a group of willing volunteers and the hard work of the team managers and coaches.
Eynsham Under 13’s play in the Witney and District Youth League and are currently top of the A league with some great results and are also still in both the Ron Smith County Cup quarter final and into the Semi Final of the Witney KO cup.
The U13’s have had pretty much the same group since the team was started at U6’s age group and this has brought a great team ethic and friendships have been built. The team is managed by Tom Bryant and John Wick who have both grown up playing for Eynsham and have both now got their sons playing in the team. It’s great to see the team progress under their management. They have been very lucky with sponsorship as local businesses are keen to support their local youth teams with special thanks to RJB Electrical and Sartorelli’s Pizza.
The U13’s are really excited around the opportunity to be part of Saturday's game against Bolton and will be dreaming of being on that pitch one day as a player.
