PREVIEW Ipswich Town v Oxford United

Oxford United travel to Ipswich Town on Boxing Day (3pm)

The U's are now unbeaten in ten games after a draw at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend but they travel to an Ipswich side who have been in the top two for much of the season.

TEAM NEWS
Both Yanic Wildschut and Josh Murphy played a part at Hillsborough and are set to continue their returns from injury while Cameron Brannagan is fine despite limping off in the same game.

The midfielder rolled an ankle but there is no real damage and he will train today and then link up with the rest of the players as they travel on Christmas Day.

THE OPPOSITION
Town boss Kieran McKenna told the official Ipswich website that he won't be taking too much notice of recent resuts between the sides

“I don’t think I’ll look too much at last year’s games to be honest" he said. "It's two different teams now. They are playing a different shape to what they were in the back half of last season when we last played them.

"We’re expecting a good game on Boxing Day. They’re playing well. They played very well last week against Sheffield Wednesday and would feel like they should’ve won.

“They’re playing in a positive manner and on the front foot and we like to do that as well so I’m hoping it’s going to be an open and exciting game.

“We’ve got a fantastic crowd coming, it’s Boxing Day, and we want to put on a really good match for those who come and, of course, get the result we all want.

“They’ll look to impose themselves and we’ll do the same. Hopefully, it has the recipe for a good game."
