Oxford United have been handed an early present with the news that Cameron Brannagan should be available for the Boxing Day game away at Ipswich Town.
The influential midfielder rolled an ankle during Saturday's draw at Sheffield Wednesday but trained today and will be in contention when the U’s travel to Portman Road as boss Karl Robinson told us:
“He’s fine. Cameron is fairly robust but just felt something wasn’t right after he won a challenge on Saturday. Ideally he would have taken the penalty in the last minute but that’s just one of those things.
"The main thing is he is OK and should be able to play a full part in a busy Christmas period for us.”
