PREVIEW Oxford United v Swansea City

Oxford United welcome Swansea City to the Kassam Stadium this evening in the Carabao Cup.

TEAM NEWS

The U's will make changes after the win against Cambridge on Saturday with matchwinner Tyler Goodrham likely to start for the first time. Fellow Academy graduate James Golding is also likely to step up while Boss Karl Robinson has hinted at several further changes as he looks at all of his options.

Sam Baldock (thigh) and Yanic Wildschut (hamstring) are still missing.

THE OPPOSITION

Captain Matt Grimes sees the game as the Swans' chance to bounce back after defeat against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Goals for Sammie Szmodics, Ben Brereton Diaz and Lewis Travis condemned the Swans to a 3-0 loss in their first home game of the season.

“After any loss, you want to play again straight away so you can try and get a win under your belt,” Grimes told the official Swansea website.

“Between both boxes we were okay. We were able to camp them in. It was just a game of moments; they took theirs and we didn’t take ours. We’re all feeling very disappointed with how the game ended up and I’m sure everyone else will be too.

“The process will stay exactly the same, we’ll review the game to see what worked and what we could have done better and take that into next week and hopefully bounce back on Tuesday.”
