Oxford United look to bounce back when they face Lincoln City at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday night.
A single goal saw the U’s beaten in Bristol on Saturday but Boss Karl Robinson believes his side weren’t too far from getting something out of that game and with two wins from two home games so far is looking for his team to continue their excellent home form against the Imps
“I had chance to watch it back after Saturday and it was a good performance” he said. “Sometimes we are asked to talk about it straight after the game when we need a bit more time to see it back. We were comfortable other than their goal, which was three errors in quick succession really. Other than that and one excellent save from Easty we were comfortable and we created chances at the other end without taking any of them.
“So we came in today in a positive mood and training was really good.
“We have been disrupted by injuries so far with Yanic Wildschut, Josh Murphy and Sam Baldock and those are three very dangerous players for us. But we have other options and are happy with the squad we have available so we will roll our sleeves up and just get on with it.
“Lincoln are a good side. They have a very good Manager and are going to come to us and be dangerous, but I'm here to talk about my team not theirs. People had a go at us for conceding too many goals last season so we have tightened up on that but we maybe haven’t scored as many as a result so we will keep working hard and we will get the balance right.
“It’s a home game, under the lights and we are really looking forward to it.”
