Oxford United head for Rotherham United on Saturday with the U’s looking to make it three wins in a week and keep their chase for the play-offs on track.
“I can’t wait for it now” Boss Karl Robinson told iFollow today. “My players are brilliant; great people who are very honest and always have great respect for the opposition and for the opposition fans in the build up to games.
“We are in the mix again and that’s all you can ask for.
“Rotherham are a good team not playing too differently to the last two or three months but things haven’t been falling for them recently. We can’t criticise anyone for that, we know what it is like ourselves. But we know we are playing a good team, also very honest, who score goals, defend well and are very good from set-pieces which we will have to be aware of.
“It will be a good atmosphere and quite intense. It will be a full house and I’ll be disappointed if there are any spare seats because it’s a shame we couldn’t get any more of our fans in - they are brilliant away from home. We don’t lose many at home either but wherever we play the fans are there and I want to thank them for that this season.
“We look forward to trying to do our best for them but I think Oxford knows that will happen now.
“People in the city know what this club stands for and the intentions we have for it and Saturday will be no different.”
