Oxford United Women end their season with a trip to Gillingham on Sunday.
A thrilling 3-3 draw at champions Southampton on Wednesday leaves the U’s one point behind second placed Ipswich with both teams with one game left.
“We’d love to finish as runners up” Manager Liam Gilbert told us. “It has been a terrific fight for the title and Southampton proved the most consistent team over the course of the season. It’s out of our hands now but we can still take second place and in all likelihood we have to win our final game to have any chance.
“So we will do what we always do - prepare thoroughly, make sure we are up for the challenge and play with the same team spirit that has got us this far.”
The game is at Kings Hill Sports Park, West Melling and kicks off at 2pm
