Oxford United boss Karl Robinson put his best foot forward for a great cause yesterday.
Karl completed the Historic Landmarks of London Half Marathon in a time of 2 hours 7 minutes, running in front of landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye.
"I'm pleased I did it and feel OK today" he told us. "I'd built up my training and was always confident I would get round. It was a fantastic atmosphere: absolutely packed all the way round and that was great. I was running for Prost8 who do amazing work to help raise awaeness around Prostate Cancer and I want to thank everyone who sponsored me or offered their support."
Prostate cancer is not always life-threatening. But when it is, the earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured.
Although survival from prostate cancer is paramount, equally important is the quality of life after treatment. Prost8 helps men with early stage cancer to access cutting edge, minimally invasive treatment options that preserve lifestyle whilst providing a cure.
Prost8 is raising funds to buy and donate six new treatment suites into strategic NHS hospitals across the UK
