Oxford United will be taking to the sky this summer to help our good friends at Helen & Douglas House.

Helen & Douglas House are celebrating 40 years since they became the world’s first children’s hospice and do amazing work to support so many families around Oxfordshire and on July 10th Oxford United fans get the chance to join Oxford United staff for a skydive to help raise funds and awareness.

Head of Medical Amy Cranston, Head of Academy Dan Harris, Sport Scientist Dwyne Peasah, Head of Marketing Tom Law and Marketing Assistant Sam Heason have all volunteered to do a tandem jump on the morning of Sunday 10th July and spaces are now available for supporters to join them, as Karl Robinson explains:

“Helen & Douglas House is an incredible place, so inspirational, and I went to meet the staff recently and we discussed how we can help them. One of the ideas was a skydive and when I mentioned it to the staff at the club people volunteered straight away. Fair play to them, and to any fans who take up the challenge. It seems to be something people dream of doing and this allows them to achieve that dream while helping one of my favourite places in Oxford.”

Just choose July 10th as the date.

We also have an easier way for fans to help Helen & Douglas House this Saturday. Rather than jump out of an aeroplane we also have the option of putting a £1 coin in your pocket and donating it (or more if you like) to the bucket collection that will be happening all around the ground when Oxford United welcome Sunderland to the Kassam Stadium.
