Stars Come Out for Mickey's Game

The stars will come out when we celebrate the life of an Oxford footballing legend on October 10th.

Mickey Lewis’s extraordinary life in football across Oxfordshire will be celebrated with stars from the past at Oxford United, Oxford City and the current University side all joining together for a memorial game called ‘One for the Road’

But it’s not just footballers coming to the game. We also have some very special guests…

One of the unexpected stars of 2021 has been a young man from Oxfordshire called Kaleb Cooper who has stolen the limelight in the brilliant Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon.

Kaleb has kindly agreed to come along and be part of the day, playing in goal for the Oxford United Legends and sharing the gloves with the likes of Alan Judge, Ryan Clarke, Phil Wilson, Wayne Brown, Phil Whitehead, Max Crocombe and Billy Turley.

Kaleb will be joined by the Rosenthal family - broadcasting legend Jim and son Tom, the star of Friday Night Dinner and Plebs. Both were good friends with Micky and will be part of the big day.

The Oxford City side can also call on a TV star of their own with Love Island winner Finn Tapp hoping to be part of the ‘Oxford City All Stars’ team, subject to filming commitments.

There are now only a handful of player sponsorships available but you can help raise funds for Micky’s family AND enjoy the game in style with a number of hospitality and lounge options plus other ways to get your name out there such as advertising and commercial opportunities.

All you have to do is call Gemma Drewett to discuss how you can get involved and be part of a very special day. Call 07967 094249 for details

Tickets are available HERE but even if you can’t get along to the day we urge fans to help on this: every penny raised will go to Micky’s wife Suzanne and young son Zach so CLICK HERE to make a donation
