Boss Karl Robinson was left frustrated by a late penalty equaliser as Oxford United drew 2-2 with Bristol Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.
The sides will now replay at the Memorial Stadium a week on Tuesday and the U's' Manager was happy with the way his side played, if not with the final score.
“We know we should have put the game out of sight" he told iFollow. "One human error costs us winning the game. I think we hit the post or bar four or five times in the end so it wasn’t a bad performance. We are still in the hat and we will go there looking to win it the second time around. Wigan also play that night, who we play the following Saturday so that evens that out
"It was a great cup tie and we are still in the cup. We have won the last four games before today and so we roll forward now to an exciting week as we build up to Ipswich away. I don’t think anyone can say the players went through the motions today
“But this weekend we have seen Ipswich at home to Oldham, Solihull up at Wigan, Sunderland at home to Mansfield, MK drawing with Stevenage. That’s what the FA Cup does. I am proud of my players’ efforts and the way we played, just frustrated by those last five minutes.”
