Oxford United left it late but were worth at least a point at MK Dons on Saturday. That was the view of scorer Elliot Lee after his 97th minute header gave the U's a 1-1 draw.
"After the game we said in the dressing room that a point was the least we deserved" he told iFollow. "We conceded a sloppy goal in the first half and then we left it late, a bit too late really because we had good chances before that and if we had taken them then it would have been a bit easier. But we take the point and we move on looking to change these one points in to threes.
"MK are a decent side who play expansive football and have good players. We knew we would have to play well but I thought we did and probably deserved three points. Hopefully the performances keep coming because if we keep playing like that then we know we will start getting wins again.
"It’s always nice to be on the scoresheet. That’s what I’m looking to do here - score goals and get assists
"We kept saying to each other on the pitch ‘just keep going, we have to go right to the end’. I think we always will- that’s the type of bunch we are and that will take us far. If we can change the one points for threes then we are right in the mix and I thought today was definitely a positive day.”
