Wednesday saw another day of hard work for the Oxford United First Team squad as pre-season reached the one week mark at the Oxford Sports Park.
A two hour morning session saw the players start with a warm up and then a couple of light-hearted warm up games before a tough running exercise in groups of three with two players trying to knock the other off his stride before roles were reversed.
Training has been hard but rewarding work for all concerned and the previously injured John Mousinho, Sam Long and Marcus McGuane are fully involved each day now as are Sean Clare, Joel Cooper and Derick Osei-Yaw after their loans last season.
New signings Billy Bodin and Ryan Williams have looked sharp and youngsters Tyler Goodrham, Michael Elechi, Yoav Sade and Slavi Spasov have been part of the group all week while the Academy scholars have been training on the next pitch alongside the First Team under the watchful eyes of Chris Hackett and Darren Purse.
There’s a change of scenery for training tomorrow. We’ll be there with more pictures and video content, but until then looking back on when we first met, we cannot escape and we cannot forget….
