Oxford United are delighted to announce EB Charging as the club’s new front of shirt sponsor for the 2021-22 season.
The agreement will see the Hertfordshire based electric vehicle (EV) charging specialists' logo adorn the front of all men’s and women’s first team shirts for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.
This is not EB Charging’s first introduction to the Yellow Army, having previously featured on the U’s shirt sleeve against Tranmere Rovers last season, a match which they also sponsored. Both parties felt it was the perfect time to move this exciting partnership to the next level.
With a vision to drive clean air for this generation and those to come, EB Charging are a developing business founded as a family start up six years ago. The aim is to tackle the growing issues of inadequate infrastructure for the fast-growing EV market and poor air quality in towns and cities in the UK.
Working closely with Oxford City Council, EB Charging have installed EV infrastructure within the city to be utilised by the residents and visitors of Oxford, who drive an electric vehicle. EB Charging’s existing work with the council and the blossoming of this new partnership will see EV charging points installed at the Oxford United Training Ground.
This development will significantly contribute to the delivery of clean air quality for the city of Oxford, in support of the City Council’s commitment to clean air with their planned Zero Emission Zone.
Oxford United Managing Director Niall McWilliams said, “We are all looking forward to welcoming EB Charging to the football club as new front of shirt sponsors for the 2021/22 season.
