Three of Oxford United’s youngsters will gain experience with further loan spells at other clubs.
Striker Slavi Spasov and fullback/winger Kyran Lofthouse have extended their loans at Woking while forward Jack Stevens joins Chippenham Town on a similar loan deal.
Both Spasov and Lofthouse have done well during their loans at the Cards while Stevens impressed in a similar loan at Hungerford Town before Christmas. Fabio Lopes, who was due to join Chippenham on loan last week did not sign in the end after picking up an injury on the day of the proposed move.
Academy Manager Dan Harris said
“They get to play at a very competitive level and we will monitor them closely. In Jack’s case we extended his pro deal this week because as people will appreciate the last few months haven’t really given him a fair chance so the loan is a great opportunity for him. With Slavi and Kyran they have been playing well, getting regular game time and enjoying their time at Woking. We know all three will be looked after because they are at good clubs and we look forward to watching their progress.”
