Oxford United Women have a huge game this weekend when they welcome Ipswich Town Women to Court Place Farm (2pm)
A convincing 3-0 win against Keynsham Town moved the U’s up to second place in the Women’s National League last weekend and has set them up nicely to play the unbeaten league leaders.
Manager Liam Gilbert commented, “The girls played some really good football and were very patient when they needed to be and now we have to take that into Sunday’s game.”
Not only have Ipswich gone 11 games unbeaten, they have won all 11 with a goal difference of 37 and will pose a real threat to an in-form United side.
“We can’t wait for it, Liam told us. “Ipswich have goalscorers in many areas of the pitch and dangerous strikers but we have been strong at the back and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.”
It should be a fantastic game of football so come along and support the U’s on Sunday afternoon at Court Place Farm
