Two of Oxford United's young players are to extend their loan spells at other clubs.
Left-back Michael Elechi has extended his loan with Salisbury for another month while midfielder Leon Chambers-Parillon has extended his loan at Havant & Waterlooville to the end of the season. Both loans include a 24 hour recall.
Academy Manager Dan Harris told us
"As a club we're very conscious of ensuring that we match players and loans carefully. If you look at Michael, Leon, Kie Plumley and Tyler Goodrham, they have all really benefitted from playing senior football out on loan this year.
"Leon had an excellent first loan at Step Three last season with Biggleswade and has followed that up with more positive exposure at Step Two with Gloucester City earlier this year. He's been down with Covid over the last couple of weeks but Havant & Waterlooville are a really well run National League South club and so it's a great environment for him to keep playing competitive football over the next few months.
"We'll continue to monitor all of our players out on loan and are also now beginning to get some of our U18s out for their first experience of senior football which is a crucial next step in their development."
