PREVIEW Oxford United v Crewe Alexandra

Oxford United welcome Crewe Alexandra to the Kassam Stadium tonight in Sky Bet League 1.

TEAM NEWS
The U's hope to have skipper Elliott Moore available again after a chest infection. The centre-half trained yesterday and provided there is no reaction should be OK to return to  the squad.

Anthony Forde felt his hamstring tighten in the warm up on Saturday and was replaced by Ryan Williams at the last minute. With Sam Long still a couple of weeks away with a calf problem Williams is likely to continue at right-back where he was Man of the Match on Saturday, although Moore's return gives Karl Robinson a couple of different options.

See Karl, James Henry and Darren Purse all previewing the game in iFollow.

THE OPPOSITION
Crewe picked up their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Cheltenham on the opening day but after getting past Hartlepool in the Carabao Cup in midweek lost 2-0 at Portsmouth on Saturday.

Boss David Artell has strengthened his side with the arrival of 19-year-old striker Ben Knight from Manchester City, the seventh new face at Gresty Road this summer

Cambridge-born Knight joined  City’s academy in 2018 from Ipswich Town and was a key part of their title winning Premier League 2 campaign last season.
