Manager Liam Gilbert said:“Watford are a really strong team, but we will prepare the same way that we prepare for any opposition. We will break down our own footage from the game at the weekend because we know there are some things which we need to work on and we can be better at, then we will look to implement whichever game plan we want to put in place.
“A win with a clean sheet last weekend is something that cannot be underestimated, especially to start off the season, but we know what we expect as a club and we know that we’ve got a lot more to offer.
“We’ve got no added injuries at all from last weekend and we are potentially getting a few players back which is good news.”
TICKETS
A reduced capacity crowd at The Orbital Fasteners Stadium (WD4 8BS) will be allowed at this Sunday’s game, with tickets available to purchase on the gate. Supporters can pay in cash; however contactless payments are encouraged. All fans attending the game must complete the NHS track and trace mobile app, and all instructions will be available at the stadium on the day of the game. Face coverings must be worn upon entering the ground and in communal areas, when two-metre social distancing cannot be adhered to.

MK Dons 1 – 4 Watford
Watford started their season strongly last weekend through a 4-1 away victory against MK Dons, with the visitors only taking two minutes to open the scoring at Stadium MK. Summer signing Sarah Wiltshire struck first for the Hornets – the first goal in a hat-trick upon her return to the club. An impressive first half performance saw Manager Clinton Lancaster’s side 4-0 up at half time, with Ryah Vyse also adding to Wiltshire’s hat-trick. MK Dons pulled one back in the second half through Cherrelle Albert, but it was Watford who took the three points.
Gillingham 0 – 1 Oxford
Liam Gilbert’s team returned from Kent with a win and a clean sheet last Sunday - the visitors clinching the victory through winger Carly Johns’ back-post finish. The U’s fielded seven debutants over the course of last weekend’s opener, with each new addition looking to have settled in well at their new surroundings during a defensively-resolute, strong team performance.

Sarah Wiltshire
Wiltshire spent her youth career with Arsenal, making her first team debutat the age of 15 against Leeds in April 2007. Following her departure from Arsenal in 2008, she spent six years with Watford in her first spell at the club. Wiltshire’s impressive CV shows the striker to have also represented the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. The Welsh international scored 19 goals for Yeovil last season, before making the move to the Hornets in August, where she has since scored a hat-trick in last weekend’s opening round of fixtures.
