Oxford United’s loan stars once again had an impact as they gained experience in senior football at the weekend.
Slavi Spasov and Malachi Napa made their debuts for Woking in their 2-1 win over Solihull Moors in the National League with striker Spasov being selected as Man of the Match for the Cards and Napa looking dangerous alongside him.
Leon Chambers-Parillon also did well for Biggleswade Town, the midfielder building on a goalscoring debut in midweek with another accomplished display. However it was teammate Fabio Lopes who attracted the headlines, scoring his first senior goal and then being shown a red card as the Waders drew 2-2 at Stourbridge. Former United winger Jonny Giles put the ten-man Waders 2-1 up before a late goal earned the home side a point.
Further loans are expected to be confirmed in the next few days as United’s youngsters gain match experience around the leagues.
