Oxford United get a chance to set the record straight when they travel to Wigan on Saturday.
That’s the view of left-back Josh Ruffels who told iFollow:
“We need to start getting results now, especially after Tuesday’s game against Crewe. That was a poor performance, we know that, but we came in yesterday and had meetings to try and get to the bottom of what went wrong.
"We all hold our hands up and know we have to improve. Defensively we haven’t kept enough clean sheets and when you concede two each time then you are leaving yourself a massive task. So as a unit we have to take responsibility and be better.
“I’m a local lad and everywhere I go people want to talk to me about how the team is doing. I want them to be proud of what we are achieving and we know we can make that happen. But we also know we have to find that from within this group and we have to start getting wins as quickly as we can.
“Wigan is not going to be easy but we will fight for everything and hopefully we can show what a good team we are, and then start dong that much more consistently.”
