Oxford United under 18s continued their excellent form with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Exeter City at the weekend.
The young U’s beaten just once so far this season, kept up the pressure on leaders AFC Bournemouth when midfielder Josh Anifowose put them ahead with a cross shot in the first half.
United dominated the first half but had to wait until after the break before holding midfielder Mac Masters latched on to the ball after a corner and drove across the keeper to make it 2-0.
The third came thanks to under 16 striker Gatlin O’Donkor, one of several younger players playing up an age group this season, and attacking midfielder Elijah Coe sealed three points with the pick of the goals when he drove forward and fired into the top corner to make it 4-0.
A clean sheet and four goals as the U’s made it five wins in a row.
