PREVIEW Oxford United v Peterborough United

Oxford United welcome Peterborough United in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday (3pm)

TEAM NEWS
The U's have no new injuries after Tuesday night's win over Rochdale with Sean Clare and Alex Gorrin both fine despite taking knocks in that game.

"Even so we will probably make changes" Karl Robinson told us. "It's a competition we respect but with this game and then the Trophy on Tuesday night (at Walsall) we have a chance to look at a few things and help players recover.

"There were a few playing on Tuesday who were carrying injuries. You are going to get that because of the number of games at this stage of the season, but we will take stock of it all and send out a team on Saturday that we think can get us through to the next round."

THE OPPOSITION
Boss Darren Ferguson is expected to make changes to his table-topping side:

“I’m not making 10 changes tomorrow,” he told the Peterborough Telegraph “All those who haven’t been playing will definitely play in the EFL Trophy game at Cambridge next Tuesday. But there are  two or three who need to come out. Not because they are fatigued, but because their numbers are telling us they need a break.

“I will still field a strong squad and I will still expect a good performance. We built a squad where everyone could play in the first team and as long as those who play show the right attitude and mentality tomorrow it’s a game we can win. I’ll trust everyone I pick.

“It’s not the draw we wanted, but we always look forward to cup games and maybe we’ll get a better draw in the second round. We want a good run. We don’t believe it’s that much of a distraction.”
