Oxford United welcome Crewe Alexandra to the Kassam Stadium tonight in Sky Bet League 1
TEAM NEWS
Sam Long stands by to make his 100th appearance for the U's tonight. The Bicester based youngster, United's longest serving player, has played in every game the U's have had this season and looks set to continue as the U's take on the Railwaymen at the third attempt after two previous games were postponded amid covid concerns.
Boss Karl Robinson made changes in both the FA Cup and Papa John's Trophy but will be looking for his side to win back to back league games for the first time this season after a victory over Rochdale two weeks ago.
Sam Winnall and John Mousinho both started at Walsall in the Trophy last week and will hope to be in the starting XI tonight while Rob Atkinson and Jamie Hanson are both close to a return now and there was the very welcome sight of Cameron Brannagan back on the training pitches yesterday after an eye problem.
You can hear from James Henry and Karl Robinson ahead of the game in iFollow where you can see the whole game live..

The game is available for just £10 to view on iFollow and free to Season Ticket Holders but two postponements may have led to some confusion, especially since the process for watching on iFollow for Season Ticket holders has changed since the first game.

THE OPPOSITION
Crewe boss David Artell, once a transfer target for the U's as a player, believe the U's are in a false position in the table:
“Oxford are a very good side and Karl is a very good manager. They are in a false position for me. 100%. They were in the play-off final only a few months ago, so they don’t become a bad side overnight. If you look at the pattern of their results last season they didn't make a good start but then couldn't stop winning.
“We are not fooled by their league position. We have watched them and had them watched and they, like us, should have more points than they have.
“There would have been people thinking Peterborough would beat Crewe on Saturday because they just look at the table and think top of the league should be beating Crewe who are in mid-table. It doesn’t work like that.
“Oxford are a right good team and we will have to play well to get a result there.”

A reminder, if needed, that the game is behind closed doors and we once again ask all fans to respect the current situation and stay away from the stadium. Stay home and watch it on iFollow.
