Covid-19 Oxford United in the Community Statement

Oxford United in the Community has issued the following statement:

Oxford United in the Community’s priority is the welfare of our colleagues, partners and participants who attend our various activities.

We have provided the Health England guidance to colleagues on best practice to follow and are monitoring the overall situation daily.

Our Board and senior management team have considered what steps to take in response to the COVID-19 situation. As part of this process we have taken guidance from Health England and the EFL Trust.

In accordance with the advice received we are following current official guidelines and have therefore suspended all non-school related delivery, until further notice. This includes community programmes delivered in the evenings and at weekends. It also includes the Manor Club for the over 50’s, as it is attended by an older demographic of our community, who are most at risk during the COVID-19 crisis. We have communicated this decision to all parents and key stakeholders directly.

At present our school-based activity will continue in partner schools that are open and where the guidelines deem it safe to do so.

Please be reassured we understand this is a fast-moving situation and we will continue to communicate with key stakeholders throughout. Should the situation change, and the official guidance is we should further cease activity we will adapt quickly and accordingly.

Thank you for your understanding and should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us via: community@oufc.com
