United Women Get Scotland U19 Call Up

Oxford United Women’s promising young midfielders Georgia Brown (left) and Brogan Moore (right) have both been selected for Scotland Under-19’s training camp between 18th - 19th February.

Scotland Under-19’s Head Coach Pauline Hamill named both Brown and Moore in her 22-strong squad list for the training camp ahead of her side’s upcoming UEFA Women's U19 Championship games.

A sign of the club’s success in bringing young talent through the ranks, United manager Liam Gilbert was delighted to receive the news of Georgia and Brogan’s call-ups:

“It’s not something new to Brogan, being called up by Scotland, but we hope that she can keep on improving. This is something new for Georgia; she’s a player that many Oxford fans will not know because she’s been out with Cheltenham for the last season and a half, but she’s really been improving week after week since she’s been there, and she fully deserves her opportunity.”

“Every time the girls get these opportunities it gives them a chance to improve, to test themselves in different environments, and to potentially compete against world-class players.”
