Oxford United U18s face AFC Wimbledon at the training ground on Saturday (KO 11am)
After the postponed fixture against Northampton last weekend, the young U’s will get their first run out in Merit League One this weekend as they face AFC Wimbledon.
After finishing runners up in the Youth Alliance League, Leon Blackmore-Such and Chris Hackett will see a new-look side take to the field with the U16s joining first year scholars to form a new U18 in preparation for next season.
Lead PDP coach Leon told us:
“We are looking forward to finally starting in Merit League One, but we have had a good week’s preparation after last week’s postponement. The weather didn’t stop the lads coming in on Sunday and I was really impressed with how they conducted themselves and we are looking forward to seeing the next phase in their development.”
