Following the success of the trial game against Hull City on Saturday Oxford United can now reveal the process that will be put in place to allocate Season Ticket holders places at the remaining Sky Bet League 1 home fixtures in the 2020/21 campaign.
Since Oxfordshire’s tier status was confirmed on the 26th November the club has been working extensively behind the scenes to formulate a protocol that fairly allocates tickets and for as long as Oxfordshire remains in tier 2 the club will be asking Season Ticket holders wishing to attend games to apply for a ballot based around a block of three fixtures at a time.
The three Sky Bet League 1 fixtures included in the first ballot will be:
- Northampton Town – Tuesday 15th December, 7.45pm
- AFC Wimbledon – Sunday 26th December, 3pm
- Doncaster Rovers – Tuesday 5th January, 7.45pm
All Season Ticket holders will be guaranteed a seat for at least one of those three matches with some supporters being allocated seats at two of the three.
The ballot process has been put in place to ensure that every one of our loyal Season Ticket holders can head through the Kassam Stadium turnstiles on a consistent basis, whilst also considering the government mandated limitations on capacity.
The ballot for the first block will begin at 10am on Wednesday 9th December and conclude at 12 noon on Friday 11th December.
Applications from Season Ticket holders can only be made online at OUFCTickets.co.uk, full information on how to submit your application can be found in the following video
Supporters can apply for up to a maximum group size of six. We must stress once again that your group can only be made up of fans who are within your household or support bubble. The club will be making checks to ensure that these rules are abided by. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of your Season Ticket.
To apply for tickets alongside other Season Ticket holders in your bubble you will need to add each individual fan to your ‘Network’ on OUFC Tickets. Information on how to do this can be found below
Once the application window has finished for the first three match group, the club will contact all supporters who have been successful for the Northampton Town fixture. Following that game the club will hold a second ballot to determine who will be allocated seats for the AFC Wimbledon game on Boxing Day – this ballot will be weighted to those supporters who missed out on a seat for Northampton Town.
The third and final ballot of the group will guarantee a seat against Doncaster Rovers for all supporters who missed out on the Northampton Town and AFC Wimbledon games. The remaining allocation of tickets will be randomly allocated to supporters who attended either matches 1 or 2.
For the foreseeable future, all supporters with allocated tickets will gain entry to the Kassam Stadium using a digital ticket – this includes print at home and those stored on your smart phone.
