PREVIEW Plymouth Argyle v Oxford United

Oxford United travel to Plymouth Argyle this evening in Sky Bet League 1 (7.45pm)

TEAM NEWS
The U's are without the suspended Alex Gorrin who collected his fifth yellow card of the season during the Boxing Day win over AFC Wimbledon.

Anthony Forde and Jamie Hanson are the obvious replacements although Liam Kelly could move one position further back to occupy the holding midfield role. Gorrin's one match absence could open the door for the return of Cameron Brannagan or Sam Winnall to the bench although Karl Robinson will weigh up his options now that Tuesday's home game against Doncaster has been suspended giving the U's an extended ten-day break after Saturday's game at Burton Albion.

THE OPPOSITION
United face a new experience with Plymouth fans allowed into the ground tonight. Plymouth is in Tier 2 and so a limited number of home fans can attend; the first time United have played a game like that during this covid affected season.

A draw at Charlton on Boxing Day and a win at home to MK Dons in the previous game have lifted Ryan Lowe's side after a poor December and six straight defeats in the league.

Argyle sit one place and one point above the U's in 14th in the table, having played a game more.
