PREVIEW Oxford United v AFC Wimbledon

Oxford United welcome AFC Wimbledon to the Kassam Stadium on Boxing Day (3pm)

TEAM NEWS
The U's welcome Cameron Brannagan and Sam Winnall back into the squad after both trained this week while a 12 day break since the win over Northampton has allowed one or two other knocks and bruises to heal, meaning that only Malachi Napa and John Mousinho miss out through injury.

Hear from Karl Robinson in iFollow where you can view the whole game live.

TIER 4
Oxfordshire will move in to Tier 4 at a minute past midnight on Boxing Day meaning that fans cannot now attend the game.

Those who had tickets will be able to exchange them for the first game where we can safely welcome supporters back.

With the game now behind closed doors we ask all fans to respect the rules and not to be at the match. Stay home and watch it on iFollow which is always available for all home games for season ticket holders.

THE OPPOSITION
Dons boss Glyn Hodges is hoping his side learn lessons after defeat against Crewe last weekend

“The players are giving us everything on the pitch, but they are making elementary mistakes that we’ve covered and covered” he said.

“It looks like we’ve got to cover them again. It’s disappointing that we can’t move on as we have to go through old ground as the mistakes keep reappearing. We have to be able to trust that they can do the job when they go out on the pitch. They can do it, but switching off is proving costly.”

That home defeat made it three defeats in four for the Dons at their new/old home in Plough Lane but a draw at Sunderland in their last away game and a win over Peterborough at the start of December serve as a warning that they are a very dangerous side.
