Oxford United and Kash Siddiqi Deliver Meals to Food Banks

Oxford United are doing their bit to help everyone we can at Christmas and former player and ambassador Kash Siddiqi, in partnership with the Warmer Winters initiative, has been busy this week providing 10,000 free organic meals to children, the homeless and all those in need over the Christmas Holidays across the UK.

As part of this, Kash along with his mother, Shamim Akhter, have teamed up with the club to deliver 1,500 meals to Food Banks in Oxford, yesterday and continuing today.

Kash said

“I am so proud to continue my role in serving communities beyond the game and I want to thank the staff at the Oxford and the food banks for their support. They do an amazing job all through the year and it is an honour to have helped them at this time."

"We also wanted to say a special thank you to the Chefs at 39 Steps, the wider Warmer Winters team and partners involved for their hard work over the past weeks in their efforts to feed those in need this Christmas."
