Day Two of Oxford United’s pre-season Training Camp in Wales again saw the players working hard as they prepare for the new campaign.
A 6am start, standard since Karl Robinson’s first pre-season in Ireland two years ago, saw the squad divided into two groups. One set off on an early morning jog while the other group remained for a hotly-contested game of head tennis on the Vale Resort’s courts.
Once the two groups had swapped there was time for breakfast before another tough session of running and ball work which saw everyone running close to 10km for the second day in a row.
Lunch was followed by some recovery time in the afternoon and the players will then report for a gym session later this afternoon.
Day three on Saturday will see another triple session as the players build towards a series of pre-season games over the next three weeks.
There’s another Tour Diary on its way and plenty of behind the scenes content on our social channels and iFollow where Malachi Napa, Rob Hall and James Henry all have their say today.
