Oxford United have further strengthened their squad with 19-year-old striker Dylan Asonganyi joining after impressing on trial last week.
The former MK Dons striker, well known to Karl Robinson from his time at the club, left the Dons this summer after a loan spell at Maidenhead but travelled with the U’s to Wales last week and looked sharp and fit, impressing Karl enough to earn a one-year deal with a further option.
“He is very talented” Karl said. “As a kid there were a lot of clubs looking at him but he suffered an injury and then maybe hasn’t had the opportunities which he would have liked. So we took a look and he pushed himself in every session, clearly has a desire and we think he will come here determined to show what he can truly do.”
Dylan told us
“The Gaffer and all the staff have been amazing with me. It was good to get to know everyone over the last week and it’s a very ambitious club where I want to come in, settle down and play my football again. I feel fit and strong and I can't wait to get started.”
