While we all stay home and stay safe it’s important that we get some exercise and so we asked a few friends to lend a hand.
Chris Short, Oxford United’s Head of Sports Science came up with eight or nine simple exercises that everyone can do at home and then we asked Steve Basham, Eddie Odhiambo, Christian Ribeiro, James Constable, Paul Wanless, Michael Duberry, Chris Hackett, Chris Allen, Andy Whing, Garry Parker, Peter Rhoades-Brown and special guest Timmy Mallett to test them out in a very special zoom session, with first team performance analyst Eddie Denton setting things up and watching on..
The results are mesmerising- keep an eye on Karl Robinson’s face as some of the former players start to tire, and Timmy's unique version of some of the exercises. Utterly brilliant.
The session lasted 25 minutes and consisted of three repetitions of the exercises shown here, but yours can be shorter or longer: take the bits you can do, add weights if you want to make it harder or give yourself more rest time if you need it.
We would like to thank all of our guests for taking part and they asked us to pass on one message to all fans: stay home, stay fit, stay safe…
Other versions of the video are available across our social channels to make them available to all.
