Defender Rob Dickie was left frustrated as Oxford United lost at Fleetwood on Saturday.
"I thought it was a game where we set up in a fairly decent shape but then it was just basic things that costs us again" Rob told iFollow. "I don't know if it’s a good thing or bad thing because they are basics so should be easy to eradicate but at the same time we havent got rid of them yet. So it’s really really frustrating at the moment but we will keep working hard on the training pitch and we know we have to get these things right if we want to start getting results and be up at the other end of the table.
"People will have their opinions and that’s fine but I personally feel we have the squad to be challenging at the right end this year, not be where we are.
"We scored a good goal and if I’m honest it was a disciplined away performance and we were working from a solid shape and looking to frustrate them. But we just started to open up and got a bit vulnerable and conceded again from the second phase from a set piece, which is just not good enough. It’s a simple little thing but it just needs to be nipped in the bud
"It needs to be put right against Tranmere next Saturday, 100 percent. We have a talented group and we fancy ourselves against anyone in this league. We have already proven against the top teams that we can go against them. Tranmere have come up and will be tough, we know that, but everyone in this league is a tough game so we have to be confident and look to put things right.”
