Oxford United head for Bolton Wanderers tomorrow night looking to build on an excellent win over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
“It’s an exciting one for us to go there when they are on the up and there is a big crowd rather than going when there’s a negative atmosphere and a bit of hatred there” Karl Robinson told iFollow earlier today.
”Football’s not about hate it’s about enjoying what you are going to watch and about supporting your team. We know we are going there at probably the most difficult time for anyone who has played Bolton but we just have to make sure we are right.
“These are the games you have to enjoy and we have generally performed well when this sort of question has been asked of us; away at Sunderland, away at the Valley last season and so on. We seem to perform well in front of big crowds and it’s important to be able to call on those experiences to make sure that we don’t get sucked into the wrong sort of atmosphere like we did away at Portsmouth.
“You do learn your lessons from certain moments and hopefully we can put in a performance that everyone’s proud of.”
