United Women travel to Watford on Sunday in the FA Women’s National League (KO 3pm).
The U’s will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last week against Crawley Wasps as they take on fourth placed Watford this weekend.
Brogan Moore is the only absentee for the U’s this weekend as she is away on international duty with Scotland. The forward scored against Bulgaria on Wednesday, helping the side to a 4-0 win in their first UEFA Women’s U19 Championship qualifying round whilst Daisy McLachlan is in line for a return this weekend.
First team manager Liam Gilbert said:
“We have trained well this week and are confident going into the game on Sunday. We have two games in quick succession with the home match against Hounslow on Tuesday, but we will give it everything we have got and hopefully return to winning ways as quickly as possible.”
It’s the beginning of a busy week for the U’s who follow up the away match against the Hornets with a trio of home games beginning on Tuesday. United face Hounslow (8th October), Norwich City (13th October) and North Leigh (20th October).
