Oxford United under 23 players Owen James and Yoav Sade and under 18s striker Jordan Edwards have agreed loan deals while midfielder Aaron Heap is to leave the club at the end of his contract in January.
James, recently returned from a loan at Bracknell Town, will join Chalfont St Peter in the same division while right back Sade has agreed a loan at National League South team Braintree Town and is likely to be in their squad for a home game against Hampton and Richmond Borough tomorrow.
Striker Edwards will join Abingdon United on loan and be among familiar faces at a ground where the youth team play their home matches and where several Academy coaches also coach.
Sadly Heap, who is currently on loan at North Leigh will be moving on at the end of his six month deal, as Chris Allen told us
“That’s the horrible side of football because Aaron is a great lad who should be very proud of the way he has been during his time at the club and in the Academy. Unfortunately there are a lot of players ahead of him for a midfield place now and we talked to him about the options and hopefully by telling him the news now then he can get a head start and find a club from January onwards. He certainly leaves with our best wishes,
“Owen did well and scored goals for Bracknell so it’s another chance to do that with his new loan and for Yoav it’s a first chance to be involved regularly at senior level in what is a tough league. I hope both of them do really well.”
