Oxford United are delighted to announce that Sobell House will become an official Charity Partner for the forthcoming season.
Based at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, Sobell House provides palliative and end of life care to the residents of Oxfordshire. The Hospice offers physical, psychological, social and spiritual care to those facing life threatening illness, death and bereavement. The focus is on quality of life, respecting the uniqueness of each person, and respect for the dignity of all users of the service.
Tim Wraith, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Sobell House said:
"We're delighted to have Oxford United on board and to be working with them. It feels such a great fit for both parties. What we do resonates with so many people in Oxfordshire and this partnership is a great opportunity for us to get more visibility out and about, and to enthuse people about what we do and how they can help."
Andrew Taylor, Oxford United's Head of Operations said:
"We're the only professional club in the county and it's really important for us to use that profile and get into the community and use it as a force for good. We're really looking forward to a lasting partnership with Sobell House and doing our best to support them and what they do throughout the year at various events."
Oxford United have also made a commitment to be part of Sobell House's 40 Club which is a way for Oxfordshire companies to get involved with their local hospice. For more information about the 40 Club and how you can become a partner visit sobellhouse.org/The40Club
