Gavin Whyte has joined Cardiff City today for an undisclosed fee
Gavin made 47 appearances and scored nine goals for the U’s in his first season in professional football after signing from Crusaders. He told us:
"I want to thank everyone at Oxford United for the year I spent at the club and the brilliant fans who made my time here so special. It's an exciting challenge for me ahead but I will always look back on my time at the club with fond memories. The lads and the gaffer have been great with me from the first day I walked into Oxford and I wish the club well for the future."
Head Coach Karl Robinson added:
"We wish Gavin all the luck in the world on his move. He's a fantastic footballer and has been a great servant to the football club and I'm sure he will do very well at Cardiff. We wish him all the best for the future."
Everyone at the club would like to thank Gavin for his services as an Oxford United player and he leaves with our best wishes.
