Oxford United will be boosted by the return of Gavin Whyte when they take on Scunthorpe United at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.
The Northern Irish international has missed the last two matches after requiring stitches in a head injury in the closing stages of our last home game against Peterborough. Having followed the medical procedures for head injuries United have now been given the green light for Whyte to return to full training and be available to face the Iron this weekend.
There could be even better news for the U’s with both Jamie Mackie and Marcus Browne expected to return as well. Both have been receiving treatment for hamstring injuries but are scheduled to be available for full training on Thursday.
United will however still be without the suspended Cameron Brannagan, who serves the second of his two game ban.
It’s a chance to get behind the U’s as they seek back to back wins in the league. Call 01865 337533 or visit www.oufctickets.co.uk to book your place.
