Saturday’s home game against Shrewsbury Town will see Oxford United salute the work of our armed forces with our annual Military Day.
This will be the sixth season that Oxford United have recognised the service that military personnel do, both for their country and their local community and we will have military vehicles and displays all around the ground before kick off as well as flag bearers from cadets from all three services and special guests from the Chelsea pensioners to present the matchball to the referee, along with representatives of RAF Brize Norton.
There will be a collection from SSAFA, and a military band to play carols to get you in the Christmas mood.
All of our local bases have been contacted about ticket offers for the armed services for this game and we would love fans to give our guests a fantastic reception before the game.
