Oxford United look to continue their great form as they travel to Doncaster on New Year's Day
TEAM NEWS
United have plenty of options after mixing things up at Wimbledon on Sunday. John Mousinho, Chris Cadden, James Henry, Tariqe Fosu and Matty Taylor all started on the bench and will be fresh but boss Karl Robinson must decide whether to stick with the bulk of a winning side as United made it three wins from three over Christmas with a 2-1 victory at the Dons
Simon Eastwood, Anthony Forde, George Thorne, Ben Woodburn and Malachi Napa are still unavailable through injury but youngsters Fabio Lopes and Nico Jones are once again in the travelling squad.
THE OPPOSITION
Doncaster boss Darren Moore will look for a positive reaction after his side lost to Sunderland in their last outing
“Sometimes you just focus on the game and after that finishes you look at the parameters of the next one" he said. “That is where the squad comes into it now. We’ll take into consideration that it is the third game in seven days and we’ve had two tough games with Peterborough and Sunderland.
“We’ll look at the squad on the eve of the Oxford game and if we need to make changes and I see fit, we’ll make changes. We draw the positives from the Peterborough game and there were positives from the Sunderland game as well where if we’d have been a bit more savvy and clinical in areas we could have got onto the final ball and got the equaliser.”
