PREVIEW AFC Wimbledon v Oxford United

Oxford United head for AFC Wimbledon on Sunday in Sky Bet League 1

TEAM NEWS
United look likely to make changes after the two back to back home wins against Wycombe and Lincoln.

With one or two players struggling with slight injuries and illness Karl Robinson told iFollow that the plan was always to mix things up a little and Jamie Mackie, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Rob Hall and Dan Agyei could all feature during the busiest period of the season- the U's  also travel to Doncaster on New Year's Day.

Simon Eastwood, Anthony Forde, George Thorne, Ben Woodburn and Malachi Napa are still unavailable through injury but youngsters Fabio Lopes and Nico Jones are both in the travelling squad.

THE OPPOSITION
Dons boss Glyn Hodges saw his side claim their second away win of the season last time out at Bristol Rovers and the Dons are in good form as they prepare to face the U's.

“It’s fantastic to get the victory and we had to come from behind again to do it" Hodges said. "Someone told me they were second in the league at half-time, so they are promotion hopefuls, but we upset the applecart and I thought we deserved the three points. We have two home games coming up and we have to try and buck the trend of falling behind.

“It’s been a good December and I’m pleased with it, and now we have two home games coming up. We seem to be improving all of the time. If the players can take confidence and really buy into what we are trying to do, which they are doing, this can be another step forward with the way we want to do things. The holiday period is a great spell for football and if we can perform like that in the next two home games then there may be more points to be had.”
