Oxford United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jordan Archer on a short-term deal.
The 26-year old is a free agent after leaving Millwall in the summer and joins the U’s until January as cover with Simon Eastwood out of action with a knee injury, leaving Jack Stevens as the only senior keeper available.
Karl Robinson told us
“It has worked out well. Jordan has over 200 games under his belt, has played for Scotland, and that experience we need right now when we are in a great position in the league but with some big games coming up plus a Carabao Cup quarter final as well."
Jordan told us
“I’m delighted to be here and looking forward to it. I have been working hard and staying fit so feel pretty sharp, and having trained with the club for the last couple of days I feel like I am ready if called upon against Shrewsbury tomorrow.”
