Oxford United U18s face Portsmouth at home on Saturday (KO 11am) in the Youth Alliance League
The youngsters go into the fixture on the back of a terrific 2-2 draw away at rivals Swindon after coming back from two goals down.
Goals from Tyler Goodrham and Callum Crook – who grabbed his fourth goal of the season – completed the comeback in Chippenham.
Nico Jones will be available again for selection after his two-match suspension whilst Viktor Milton and Slavi Spasov continue their recovery from injury.
It will be another good test for the youth side, with Portsmouth U18s having had a good start to the season so far. Wins over Yeovil Town and Plymouth Argyle alongside a draw against AFC Bournemouth sees Saturday’s visitors sit 2nd in the Youth Alliance League.
Away from the pitch it’s been a busy week for United’s youngsters, with the first-year scholars in the U18s receiving their GCSE results on Thursday. We would like to congratulate all of the boys who received their results this week.
Saturday’s match will be played at Northcourt Road (OX14 1PL) and is open to the public with admission FREE.
