Saturday’s game turned out to be a memorable afternoon for all concerned, but perhaps for nobody more than our three #OX4Life Takeover winners.
To mark the 30th anniversary of Oxford United in the Community hundreds of children from local schools came along to support the U’s against Wycombe Wanderers and they were rewarded by a stunning winning goal from Josh Ruffels in the very last minute to give United a win. Punching the air with everyone else were our three special guests.
Ben Puddephatt was the winner of our design the programme cover competition. Ben’s amazing drawing of Marcus Browne was on all of the home programmes and he was presented with a special signed print from our friends at Bishops the printers.
Meanwhile twins Ben and Daniel Matthews played their part by reading out the teams at 2.30, doing an amazing job, while Jacob Crook was also hard at work interviewing Manager Karl Robinson before and after the game - see an interview with Jacob in a FREEVIEW iFollow video above.
We would like to thank everyone who entered the competitions and in particular our winners who did an amazing job. We hope you enjoyed your afternoon with the U’s.
