"Not acceptable" that was the verdict of forward James Henry as the U's lost to Walsall on Saturday.
Last season's top scorer was again on the scoresheet but it wasn't enough as the U's lost 2-1, leaving Henry to tell iFollow
"It’s not acceptable. We can’t keep looking to other people to help us out. It is down to the 18 of us picked on a Saturday, and we’re not doing it at the moment.
“We have to get it right, plain and simple. Everyone’s job is on the line; family life, everything. And the supporters of course: they don’t want to come here every week and watch us lose. So we all have to pull in the right direction to get us out of this mess.”
“It’s not early days any more, no. What are we nine games in? That’s not the early days of the seaosn and we have to stop thinking like that. We are in a dogfight and the top boys are gone, so we are fully in to the season now but we have no excuses and will put it right. "
United now need to switch their attention to the Carabao Cup when they welcome MAnchester City on Tuesday night.
"Tuesday night is an exciting one for everyone" James said "especially the fans and hopefully we play well, which is important to take into the next game, and the fans get to enjoy a brilliant night of football.”
Join us on Tuesday when we want a 'Sea of Yellow' to welcome the team. Put on your yellow shirt and get behind the U's
