Oxford United's under 23 side kick off their Premier League Cup campaign tonight when they take on Swansea City at Thame United (7pm)
Chris Allen’s exciting young team won away at Southend United in the qualifiers and now face three competitive Under 23 cup games against Swansea, Hull and Wolves over the coming months.
The first of these is against the Swans at the ASM Stadium, the home of Thame United - please note the change of kick-off to 7pm from the previously advertised game.
Admission is free but a programme/teamsheet will be available as you enter the ground, costing £1 and with proceeds going to the Academy.
Samir Carruthers, Charlie Raglan, Cameron Norman and Jack Stevens are likely to feature, while it will be a chance for many fans to run the rule over the under 23s in competitive action for the first time including first year pros Matt Berry-Hargreaves, Aaron Heap, Dejon Noel-Williams and Albie Hopkins, new faces such as Steven Johnson-Fikula and Brandon Taverner and recent arrivals Matt Taylor and Rev James. Youngsters Kyran Lofthouse, Aaron McCreadie, Owen James and Slavi Spasov are also included in the squad
Harvey Bradbury is likely to be out for three to four weeks with a hamstring injury while Armani Little misses out with a foot injury and Tsun Dai is not risked while he recovers from a knee injury.
A warm welcome is always guaranteed at the ASM Stadium so come along and enjoy a night of football while supporting the young U's.
